Well, we’ve been wishing for some fun projects to work on. And some new media/digital projects… And some short film projects… And that one of our current clients would do a big new campaign… And that we could do some charity work… And new business pitches… But not all at once!
But isn’t that always the way in this business. It’s feast or famine. A lot of our clients are retail clients, so we’re at least used to the fast lane. And when it’s all good projects, you’re busy but happy. Just this month we’re working on big positioning campaigns for two of our clients. One we’re shooting next week, one we’re presenting the following.
In the meantime, our direct marketing division sold a whole bunch of email programs with short film/video components. It’s a lot of work, but it’s outside the normal scope of traditional advertising, blending entertainment and selling. And to further our digital/new media output, we’ve picked up one eNewsletter and two websites to design and produce.
Meanwhile, we’ve been looking for charities to do work for, so we can both give back to the community and do some great creative work in another realm of marketing. We are now working with two very good charities, doing a print campaign for one and a TV PSA for another.
Plus, we have a couple of very fun new biz pitches in the works, which of course, I won’t discuss here. All on top of our regular workload. I’m not complaining, mind you. And neither is the rest of the staff. It just seems that the good stuff could be a little more spread out. But, hey, maybe it’s all good from here on out, right?
