Sure, we've already made the original "Old Spice Man"our ad of the week when it debuted in February. But Old Spice has taken the campaign to a brilliant new level. Starting yesterday they started recording and sending out videos featuring "the man your man could smell like" otherwise known as the "Old Spice Man" in his shower addressing the camera with messages to particular people, both famous and unknown. Each video is a personal response to a tweet or comment made in an online forum. And each of them is pretty damn funny.
According to Mashable, it all started with a message that went out on the @OldSpice twitter account reading "Today could be just like the other 364 days you log on to twitter, or maybe the Old Spice man shows up @OldSpice" Then over 75 videos were produced in the course of the day, some targeted at bloggers who spread the word like wildfire, some targeted celebrity tweeters like Alyssa Milano and some just went to random people, making everyone a possible part of the party. People are going crazy. Views are through the roof.
