Who says crowdsourcing means producing cheap commercials? Not Harley-Davidson. Their first commercial by crowdsourcing agency, Victor & Spoils is definitely a big budget, high production value affair. And it's a good spot.
The whole beginning of the spot, most of it, in fact, shows a lot of people going about their everyday lives surrounded by cages with metal bars. A guy jogging, a woman walking her dog, a customer buying coffee. They're all dragging around cages. Cars, buses, trucks pass by with metal cages around them too.
Finally a guy on a Harley comes shooting down the road weaving in and out of the caged traffic. Then, the words "Build your bike. Build your freedom." are said/seen. It goes on to talk about their H-D1 factory customization and ends on the logo with the words "no cages." Take a look.
Harley-Davidson "No Cages"
It's brilliant in that it takes a biker term for cars as "cages" that refers to the freedom of the road and feeling the wind in your hair and reworks it to be about a greater freedom. It works on multiple levels. The original meaning, the freedom to break from the mundane world on a motorcycle and the freedom to choose exactly what your bike will look like with customization. It pushes a lot of the hot buttons of today's consumers and is true to the Harley brand and the Harley customer base.

Impressive commercial. liked it. I am a big HD fan and I have always dream of riding one. If I could get one I would proud to be having Harley Davidson.
Great article, exactly what I was looking for.
