This is another brilliant example of Target's deceptively simple ads that touch the heart and tickle the funny bone at the same time. They've been doing a great job in their latest campaign, a series of :15 second ads cobranded with one of their products in each ad.
In this one, there is a little girl with an empty plate with cookie crumbs on it and a nearly full glass of milk. She sticks her finger in the glass and puts a drip of milk on the rim. As the drop runs down the side like a tear, she says, "don't cry milk… I miss them too." Simple. Emotive. Well-acted. I like it a lot.
Target – "Crying Milk"
They have other spots in the series that are fun, but none pack the punch of this one. Although the PB&J one does tickle my funny bone. Here are a few more of them.
