This week we're going international with a great spot from Brazil for Dove Men + Care shampoo. Even though it's not in English and you have to read the subtitles – you'd get it if you didn't read them. It's a very funny spot playing off almost every woman's hair care product ad you've ever seen.
In the spot, there's a guy in an office with long, luxurious hair. Every time he moves, he suddenly is in a super slo-mo camera shot with his hair rippling through the air. Over the course of the spot, you see just about every slow motion hair shot cliche from every woman's shampoo. And each time it happens, a woman's chorus sings/moans the beginning to a song.
One of his office mates comes up and confronts him, asking what he did to his hair. They realize that he's used a woman's shampoo that morning and that's the cause. He bolts out of the office, running to a nearby store – hair flowing in slo-mo as he goes. Finally, he grabs the Dove men's shampoo and washes with it. Not only does this stop the process – it sets his hair back to a manly short cut.
