Every once in awhile someone comes up with an amazing "how did they do that" product demonstration that is both fun to watch and actually shows a product benefit. Lexus had a whole series of them showing everything from balancing champagne glasses on the hood of a running car to performing a briss in the back seat while driving down a bumpy road. Toyota had a nice series with demos like trucks driving fast enough to avoid being crushed by a falling block and then stopping fast enough to prevent hurtling over the edge of a cliff. Ford did it with dropping trucks out of airplanes and attaching them to a giant centrifuge in the middle of the desert.
Now, it's BMW motorcycle's turn. To highlight the power and acceleration of their S1000 RR, they do an incredible version of the old pull the tablecloth out from under the dinner plates trick. Only this is a very long table complete with a lot of fancy place settings. And the tablecloth is pulled out by the motorcycle taking off from standing still. What more can I say. It's a fun product demonstration you have to see for yourself. Luckily, here it is:
